A monumental lion head carved from solid ebony, made to stand as the centrepiece of a room. The carving dwells on the mane, the heavy jaw and the calm, regal gaze, and the dense dark wood gives every cut depth and shadow. Height 78 cm · base diameter 40 cm · top diameter 48 cm · 56 kg.
