Makonde Armchair II

An upholstered armchair carved from a single piece of mahogany, its frame formed by hundreds of interconnected figures in the Makonde style. Made by a team of six under the late master carver Fharasisi Amblosi over more than twelve months, it is a companion to Makonde Armchair I but entirely its own. Height 100 cm · width 70 cm · 120 kg.
